Preparing for the opening of our gallery shop
A gallery shop will open in March as a space for the introduction of the original products we produce on a daily basis and the inspiration that led us to our products.
Preparation for the opening includes the creation of handmade fixtures one by one. We received inspiration from old Japanese furniture and assembled them using a technique called Kumiki, a method of assembly that does not require nails, which best suits our 120-year old shop building. Kumiki is a method of assembling wood without using nails or screws but with wedges, using a technique called.
Furthermore, solid wood was purposely used and their surfaces are carefully finished. We look forward to seeing how the wood changes color with time.
Solid wood and black-colored iron that decorate the shop are an interesting combination of completely different materials.
